I've danced many rain dances before but probably not as much as I did the morning of Hilary and Alex's engagement session. I checked my weather app every 10 minutes hoping for a good break that day but the forecast gave me nothing but news of heavy rains and dark clouds. Hilary is on a short break from med school and Alex was able to get the day off from work and with everyone's busy schedules we were really hoping for even just a tiny ray of sunshine to appear that day. But, my rain dance must have worked -- combined with many fingers crossed and prayers :-) -- as soon as I pulled up into Hilary's family farmland the clouds parted and made way for a beautiful sunshine and sunset. Alex and Hilary's session is a perfect example to never give up easily, that patience will reap you great benefits.
Alex and Hilary, thank you for rolling with the punches and for being the sweet couple that you two are, your love shines through the darkest cloudy day and outshines even the brightest day. I enjoyed editing your images so much and look forward to your wedding day next year!
